Spain

Our first stop was Cadiz, Spain; a small city on the southwest coast with sandy beaches, narrow streets and gorgeous cathedrals. The excitement as we got close to port was like no other, after having been on the ship for 9 days we couldn't wait to finally visit our first country! We were all excited to explore the city, eat the delicious food (because no one would miss that dining hall food) and well, actually be back on land after so long. We had had an entire week of classes and it was time to relax, learn and get immersed into that Mediterranean nightlife.

It was great to find out that the train/bus systems worked very well and that we were close to such culturally and historically rich cities like Sevilla, Granada and Cordoba. Madrid was also not too far (about 4 1/2 hrs) and well Barcelona was a short plane ride away.
